30 June 2007
On Saturday, June 30th, after I came back from Bangkok, I went to the orphanage. Three new volunteers, Sabrina, Cecile and Caroline, all medical students from France, went with me.
When I arrived I and the children went to our land and planted banana trees and pumpkin. We had fun. e hadantedolunteers, \ When it started raining we got some leaves and made caps to put on our heads. This made everyone happy.

Back at the orphanage, Karen noticed a few of the girls checking each other’s head for lice. She took it upon herself to check everyone’s head and 4 of the girls had lice eggs in the hair. Luckily we have medication for lice at the orphanage so Karen and the French girls applied the lotion and wrapped the girls’ heads up in plastic. They needed to leave the lotion on for 12 hours.
In the evening, the children all were busy making pictures and cards for Karen and Josh, as they will be finished at the orphanage tomorrow.

Later we had coca cola and pepsi and we danced because Karen, who had come to help me, has to leave tomorrow to go back to Australia. We had a little party and the children had lots of fun.
The French students spent some time teaching Nikom French, as he really would like to learn this language. We had lots of laughing listening to Deanna trying to help Nikom with the French'r sound.
